The minister’s letter followed Karnataka receiving 13th place in the ease of doing business list put out by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. He added that all the portals of the line departments concerned with approvals have been integrated with the single window portal.
However, 15 points related to single window system have not been accepted due to technical grounds, he said.
The minister wondered how Karnataka could be placed at the 13th place when it attracted Rs 1.4 lakh crore in investments during Jan-Sep 2016 period far below Gujarat which attracted only Rs 44,411 crore during this period.
