Municipal Corporation of Delhi(MCD) has awarded the work of preparation of Local Area Plans of twelve wards of MCD to AMDA. Master Plan of Delhi-2021 envisages preparation of Local Area Plans by participatory approach and performance oriented Development & Planning. Accordingly Monitoring Committee constituted by the Honble L.G. of Delhi for this purpose. AMDA has identified as one of the potential institution for the preparation of the Local Area Plans. AMDA having a pool of expert professional planners and other consultants can take up this assignment.The lists of Zones and scope of work are as follows:

Scope of Work
All maps and plans to be in the public domain (base map, mapped commitments, draft LAP and final LAP) are to be to a scale of 1:5000 (or 1: 1 0,000 in outlying wards. Support maps and plans could have flexible scales.
Phase -1 Base Maps
- Generate upto date base maps based on SOI data, imagery, revenue maps,approved layout plans etc.
- Generate supplementary upto date base maps of services-(eg. Manholes,Line), in terms of water sewerage, Drainage, Electricity, Fire Telephone Etc.
- Get base map approved by Monitoring Committee and Ward Councilor..
Phase-II Mapping of Secondary data on base maps
- On base map, superimpose up to date MP/ZDP land use proposals;
- Map heritage buildings, sites and landscapes of national and regional importance to be protected (with their regulation lines) and those to be conserved as per the list of INTACH and/or MCD;
- Map a approved BPL sites earmarked upgrading/reconstruction;
- Map Lal Dora boundaries of urbanized villages
- Map any other a approved Land Use commitments for in-situ
- Get base map with a above commitments approved by Monitoring Committee before its publication.
Phase-III Draft LAP
- Process draft ward level proposals (redevelopment wards, densification wards, redensification wards as the case may be) w.r.t MP/ZPD, 12th Schedule of the CA Act ’92, and other primary and secondary data as necessary.
- Draft plan to incorporate land use proposals, permissible uses matrix, Development Control Regulations, Services Plan.
- Give weightage to the consultative/participatory process.
- Get draft plan processed by Monitoring Committee before processing under DD Act ’57/ MCD Act 57.
Phase-IV Final LAP
- After considering d raft objections/suggestions, prepare final LAP for acceptance by Monitoring Committee/ Standing Committee for processing through DD Act/MCD Act 57.
