The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is in the process of constructing 94 residential flats at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore for economically weaker sections (EWS) in the national capital.
???The DMRC has informed that they are constructing 94 residential flats of EWS, 1 and 2 BHK categories at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore excluding land cost at Okhla Phase-III,??? said Minister of State for Urban Development, Rao Inderjit Singh.
The construction of these flats is expected to be completed by September 2018.
Singh stated that the criteria for allotment of these units are yet to be finalised, adding that the flats would be allotted based on applications received from the public.
He said state-run NBCC (India) Ltd is also constructing low-cost houses in various cities of India including Gurgaon (Haryana), Khekra (Uttar Pradesh) and Alwar (Rajasthan).
