Currently, two mainline electric multiple unit, train that operates in semi-urban and rural areas have been introduced that connects Whitefield. This train would help those commuting to any place along the East-West Corridor. As opposed to two to two-and-a-half hours of travel by road, it will take only 45 minutes to reach Whitefield bringing down the traffic by almost 60 per cent.
