The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao, announced that the Telangana government will start the first phase of Hyderabad metro rail project in November and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the project.
According to a press release from the Chief Minister???s office,??? Modi is expected to attend the ???Global Entrepreneurship Summit??? to be held here from November 28 to 30.???
Apparently, this is the largest Public Private Partnership (PPP) project in the country, taken up at a cost of Rs 15,000 crore.
The construction of Hyderabad metro will take place in three phases, which will cover an area of 72 km.
The km-long stretch between Miyapur and Ameerpet and the 17 km Ameerpet-Nagole stretch has been completed and ready for the inauguration in November.
Metro stations have also been constructed, the trial run has been successful and security clearance has also been obtained.
