BENGALURU: Karnataka has finalised the master plans for about 100 out of 213 urban local bodies, Industries Minister RV Deshpande has said.
The state Government has done a lot of work in digitising the land records, integrating data of land records with Sub Registrar’s offices and local municipality. ???We are in the final stages of integration of data,??? he said in a letter to Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman.
The minister’s letter followed Karnataka receiving 13th place in the ease of doing business list put out by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. He added that all the portals of the line departments concerned with approvals have been integrated with the single window portal.
However, 15 points related to single window system have not been accepted due to technical grounds, he said.
The minister wondered how Karnataka could be placed at the 13th place when ??it attracted Rs 1.4 lakh crore in investments during Jan-Sep 2016 period far below Gujarat which attracted only Rs 44,411 crore during this period.
